SE Fatshotz

I just wonder how loud these are with dresser duals and SE255 cams? I like the looks of these and I'm trying to quiet down my bike......

I have the stock headers with the CAT in the collector. The Fatshotz are only a little bit louder than the stock slippon mufflers. I did add 3 disc's to each side but that made little difference.

We are currently on an 8 thousand mile trip. I've listened to them all day for about 15 days and I am very happy with them. I can hear the radio and I can hear the bike.

I suspect if you change the headers from stock and/or remove the cat from the system, that the bike will be considerable louder. I ran the bike without the endcaps on the mufflers for a few minutes just to see and the bike was not much louder with the caps completly removed. I think that CAT is really quieting the bike down!

Happy riding!

I can tell you as some of our fellow riders have commented on, they are louder than stock, they have a nice crack when you get on it, yet they mellow out on the highway and the important one on the back doesn't complain, she really enjoys the tone they make.

Best BET, NO Ticket from an itchy ink finger law person and I'm riding happily.

My opinion... Ride Hard, Ride to Last and make it safe...

Well this thread convinces me this will be my next set of slip-ons. I've got all stock exhaust on my bike still, but have been toying with the idea of just a slightly throatier tone to the bike - but NOT loud as I'm not into loud pipes. These SE fatshotz sound perfect.

I had these put on at the begining of the season. Ridden all over the State and then some; I have constantly received compliments on the looks and the sound. More important, the one on the back really likes them. I had the privilege to ride with one of our local State patrols on his Harley and when we stopped a few miles up the road, he was very interested in the pipes, hey guess what, since it

Just a quick update...if anyone is interested...I removed the headers (too much heat for me) and put Vance and Hines Powerduals on instead. Then used the same mufflers with 15 disks and the closed end cap. The sound is louder than stock but still quiet compared to say the Monster Ovals and it has a nice deep sound that doesn't drone on ya'

Getting it tuned this month when I get to Portland...but it is putting out better performance just using the download...but I won't know how much until dyno..

With your 103" & 255 Cams you might want to try 22 Discs & Closed End Cap to get the Max out of your tune,, Look at it this way your Fatshotz came with 10 Discs and a Open End Cap (open end cap = 10 discs) so you have the flow of 20 Discs from the pipes when they were new (THESE PIPES WERE MADE FOR 96" MOTORS WITH A CAT IN THE HEAD PIPE)So with 15 discs and closed end cap you have less flow than before,, add the fact that you have a 103" & 255's,,, seems to me you will get a better tune with 22 discs instead of 15

I have the Supertrapps on my 2010 Ultra LTD/103 & CR 575 cams/TTS,SE heavy breather & true duals & run 18 discs on each muffler w/closed end caps.Nice tq & hp is where I ride 91/104!It runs also fine with 12 discs. It just moves the power down some.Regards,Tom ps you can run 18 discs & still use the same screws plus,8 discs is equal to the FatShotz open cap.
