There is no third..........Jims 120 has a 263 cam......jims isnt as hot as the S.E. version and cost $2k more as I priced it today........I am told that some of the components of the S.E. version are made by Jim's...........Buddy of mine just installed a 131 in his Road Glide and its wicked fast.......

after weeding through 8 pages of hype, well founded non-the-less, i finally see the jedi master chime in...lol this does look like a quality offering at a reasonable price point (something unusual for Harley, but a welcome change), but one does have to consider the build dynamics and where it makes the power. then again, at this point it may not matter much to the common rider because its a lot of power either way.

excellent points phil ;-)

That thing sounds sick. Would of liked to hear it roar a little bit more though. I think this Forum is bad bad bad for a bank account. Gotta stop looking around on here.

I stopped in GRH and mentioned Chicago Harley and man the claws came out.
Any ways they told me this 1`20R is a limited production also, that I might need to get it quick as there may not be any around come winter. Well if it ain't around I guess I'll have to go back to my old plan as I just can't come up with the $$$ till winter.

I already put my stuff up on Craigs list to see if any1 might be interested. Tell me if you think I got the stuff priced to move reasonably. http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/mcy/1880054646.html

96" 1650.00 complete air cleaner and all
Ported and polished SE 110 heads 650.00
88" jugs 85.00
exhaust 150.00
Take it all for 2100.

What ya think anything overpriced there. I need to get 2 grand out that shit to make the financial adviser (GF) interested in the 120R

The guy made a mistake, it's not a screaming eagle 2-1; rather a vance and hines high output 2-1. Look close you'll see the logo near the exhaust tip.

Hi Phil
First of all you know a lot.

This shouldn't be a mystery motor to you. Remember the SE 120R kit that had the cases bored wrong, that you and your buddy found? HD even put out a memo on it that I sent you? Same engine only assembled. I even thought about having your buddy assemble it, but the distance made it cost prohibitive.

I don't mind going first either. I'd rather of been part of the Apollo program and went to the moon instead of waited for technology to improve and taken a ride on the space shuttle Challenger.

Afa blowing it up, I have HD backing me on a side bet. Most people won't get a deal like that. Most builders wont give tgat deal either.

Thanks for the heads up on the exhaust. I'll order it tomorrow. Do I need a certain type baffle? What wiuld happen if I kept it restricted and quieter? Just less power?

This is all fun to me, no offense meant.
Best regards

Would it be possible to just change out the cam to get a better torque curve suited for the typical bagger dude? Or is this engine so radically changed in the heads it just won't work with some of the other cams?

I forgot to address that part of Phil's comment (using a phone sucks).
There is 110 tq at 3000 rpm. What more do you want? What does a properly built 103 or 107 give you

Just because I'm on a Street Glide doesn't mean I'm riding coast to coast each weekend. Most of my riding is in the city.
