SD card unreadable

I have the same problem, i bought a 8 gig card, worked for two months, now wont read the music anymore or connect to computer. Put in old 2 gig, reads music, but wont connect to computer so cant update my music. Put in the 1 gig that came with it that i havent used, wont connect to computer. Called T-mobile got a new G1 for $10, but still wont read any of the cards. At this point im guessing its something to do with a new update.

Yea, the $10 dollars was for shipping. And i dont know what update, but ive tried three different SD cards, in two different phones, and nothings working. So i was just guessing

I'm having this same issue. I've reformatted my card twice now. I've since been able to download pictures again and my music never stopped working (as far as I know). Although I had to reset my ringtone again today. Upon opening the picture app, all pictures on my device are showing up as corrupted. Only i've just now discovered that if i click on the file anyway it actually loads the pictures and can even be sent, or set as. In this case it seems the phone is not able to display a thumbnail and not that the file is actually corrupt. At this point, all vids and music seem unaffected.

I'm a bit weary of connecting it to my PC again. For the time being I simply can't browse through my photo at the thumbnail level but i can still view and make use of them. I believe once the computer views the files as corrupt I won't be able to access them(as it was in the past).

Drastic? absolutely!

As you say, a 5 dollar card... they won't even replace a 5 dollar card... I had it less than a WEEK, and they claim they have no obligation to replace it, well thats just wrong and illegal, so yes, it is pathetic and petty but I stand up for my rights.

And by doing so, when I tried to send the phone back, after some further discussions, they are replacing the whole phone package today, I'm currently waiting in for the courier with my new phone.

So instead of replacing a 5 dollar sd card, they are replacing the phone, card, and all accessories, where as my phone is now used and will only be sold on as second hand. Seems pretty dumb to me but fine, I get my new SD card!

my one is almost the same. lastnight i attached my vodafone845 to my computer and mounted it and for the second time transferred music files to my sd card. i unmounted like you should and then the problems started. it said preparing sd card that was 12 hours ago and it still is preparing. it has rebooted my phone 3 times, changed all the ringtones back to default, when i look at the sd card and phone storage it says unavailable. its slowed down my whole phone i cant drag the lock to unlock the phone sometimes, it wont read my contacts or messages the phone is lagging. i put my micro sd into my computer to format it but i cant coz it says my card is write protected!! there are no settings for me to take the write protection off. what the heck can i do??? can some one pleeeease help me????

what about when the computer can read the sd card but wont let you write to it or delete items and i cant even format what do i do then? in the properties there is no option to turn write protection off do you know a way?

I have a problem!

My SD card is readable, it can be accessed other then certain files that wont allow me to delete them an all...but anyway! The system wont recognize pictures on the card, or my music. ...I'm wondering what is going on. I was trying to use Ringdroid and no files were being displayed. I then checked my music app. NOTHING! However everything is on the SD card still, and I can play/access the files using an app such as ASTRO. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
