SD Card troubles

Hello,

I have a MyTouch 3G (a.k.a HTC Magic) and nearly 3 or 4 times a day I'm required to restart my phone because the phone refuses to recognize the SD card that came with the phone, and NO music players would work unless I restarted. Occasionally it would tell me that the SD Card is "blank", so I would have to take it out and put it back in again like twice..

Basically , is there any way to fix this? I've restored to factory settings multiple times and it's really starting to piss me off cause nothing works, and on top of that T-Mobile is taking forever to release a software update. (I'm STILL running 1.6..)

So yeah, I could use some help here lol

There is an extensive thread here on this issue.

basically you need a faster mini sd card. Your phone comes with a class 2 and that doesn't seem to work in many phones. I purchased a class 6 card and my phone is fine now. Take your phone back to T-mobile and ask for a faster sd card. I was given a number at HTC to call for a replacement, but they are currently on back order. Your phone will work fine without the sd card except that you loose the camera, music, and photo while you wait for a new card.
