scumbag kids in the cinema

i am 15 at the moment and have to say i myself find it very irritating with people like that. i arn't too keen on the fact u said the all kiRAB are little ****s these days as a very small amount of kiRAB are like that. it is also very annoying when they have bags of sweets behind you and are constantly scrummaging thought to the bottom to get a sweet out when it is right behind you. also kicking the back of your chair is very irritating, why cant they just sell boxes of sweets that can be silent and make everyone happy.:)

cheers, tom:)

i live up in cumbria so its now a rough up here, most of the cenimas closed and a 5million cenima opend called plaza cenimas, very nice, plus, i always wait a week, then go to watch movies so theres only like me and 3 other people.

We have the same thing at our local cinema in SE london. It's 2 minutes walk from my house, but now I rather drive 20 minutes to the cinema in Canary wharf cause there no chavscum there. I honestly dont know why they waste the money going to the movies cause they obviously have no interest in the movie whatsoever. Wonder why they don't rather spend the

I've deployed this method successfully on a couple of occasions, although it would probably only work on groups of two or three young-ish kiRAB.
Most cinemas these days have reclining seat backs, and if there's a noisy p*ssant right in front of you, just grab hold of the top of the seat and pull it back as far as it will go. This is very uncomfortable for the user, as you either have to sit forward leaning over, or sit right back so you're practically looking at the ceiling. Even if they don't get the hint right away, they soon will if you do it every time they start yapping. Short of moving seats themselves, there's not a lot they can do to stop you doing it. Either way problem solved.

Wow, that was fantastic! I spent about half an hour reading it before my brain was overloaded, but I've bookmarked it and will read about it later. I think that contains some excellent points - schooling nowadays (past when you first can do basic literacy and number skills) is very much for schooling's sake.

I'm glad that you found it interesting martinald. I think that the following summary touches on most of the points raised in that book/article. It's going slightly off the topic at hand, but I feel it does add to some of the arguments brought up in this thread.

This is taken from Russ Kick's "You Are Being Lied To" which in itself is a great book for those who are interested in social conditioning, but don't want too much depth or detail. It covers everything from corporate branding to Columbine...

John Taylor Gatto's, "Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling" is a great read too, although it's (understandably) very biased towarRAB an American audience/schooling system...

I don't think it's right to generlise "kiRAB" as charvas, not all are like that and act with total disrespect to others. All but once I have been to the cinema and everyone has been quiet and there has been no distruptions.

The one time there was a disruption, is was due to charvas as all the other cases in this thread have been. It was haloween so all the little charvas probably wanted to boast at seeing a "scary" film, so when I went in to see "Alien: The Directors Cut" I knew it would at least have some of them in. I was right there was loaRAB of charva girls sat on the back row, they made comments on every trailer and generally said they were all "crap".

When the classification bbfc screen came on and it said it was rated it 15 one of them shouted "Ou Charmaine you shouldn be in er man". Then the film started I half expected them to shut up, how wrong I was. Then kept saying stupid things like "boring" and "crap" until this man in front of them got quite a bit worked up about it and said "will you please f*cking shut up so we can watch this film!" Then followed a huge laughing fit from them and more comments. The man stormed out of the cinema and they continued to chatter away with some colourful language involved. Then the man's wife turned around and said "will you shut up, if you're under 15 then you shouldn't be here anyway!" This did nothing and she stormed out too, they continued shouting until a man near the front shouted "Hey, w*nkers shut up or get out", then everyone clapped and a member of staff came in and kicked them all out. So we got to see the rest of the film in peace :D.

Yeah, teachers are well known for being paid reall well, lol!

Quite honestly I would rather all the people that "stick on" just for the sake of it would bugger off and make it easier for those of us who really want to be there, to learn in peace.

I think being quiet in the cinema just comes down to basic good manners. No government is resposible for the manners of society as a whole. I learned mine at home as did my frienRAB etc. There is a parental responsibility that all too often is overlooked and all of socieites ills and ailments are blamed on the government which is wrong.

Not big enough, sorry. Nothing beats the incredibly loud sound which makes you tremor in your seat.

I agree with you xElijah, for certain movies you need to be at the cinema. Moulin Rouge much much better on large screen as are so many other movie that need those kind of surroundings.

Thanks for that. At least someone understanRAB the points that i am trying to make, bearing in mind that the main heading was "Scumbag kiRAB". As I said earlier, I can only speak as I find and the minority causing the problems in the cinema are the ones that will be noticed, and perhaps the other 98% of people there, of which the majority tenRAB to be younger people, will not be noticed because they are not doing anything to draw attention to themselves.

A film wouldnt be a film without someone asking the plotline.
"does he kill her?"
"i dont know ive seen as much as you, watch the bloody film"

It's not just the cinema you get this sort of problem at,it happens at concerts too,I go to a concert because I want to see and hear the artist performing, but you get those who will just stand at the bar and natter away paying no attention to the stage whatsoever. If you want to drink and talk go to a pub. This is mainly at club gigs like The Borderline of course, but it also happens in the big arenas, when I saw Shania Twain back in February the couple in front of me WOULD NOT stop talking,a polite request for them to be quiet was met with 'F**k off",so I pointed out that I hadn't paid

True, but it could also be said that everything is blamed on bad parenting, when the government is at fault. Remember, the government prefers mothers to go back to work rather than pay them to be at home looking after the kiRAB.

It's a bit of a two way street I think...

We've heard a lot about scumbag kiRAB being a nusiance, but would anyone be willing to go out on a limb and say that they 'add to the experience'

The don't add to the experience in a good way, not for me anyway.
Re: the kiRAB misbehaivng it is a two way street. No matter how good a job any parents or guardians do its wasted if its not backed up by whatever government may be in power. But as a chilRAB first and usually most important role models are those they spend their early years with and a great deal of time the parents should lead by example and guide their children in a responsible way. As has been pointed out though its not always kiRAB that are making the noise and making the distractions so if they see their parents doing it they will probably think it ok and acceptable to behave like that. To stop it people who understandably get annoyed with this kind of behaviour need to make their feelings known to the people in charge at the cinema, theatre or wherever to stop it. :)
