Hi all, I am scheduled to have scs trial Jan.22. I would like to hear from those of you who have tried the stimulator and your experiences. How much pain can I expect from the procedure. what does the stimulation feel like? did it relieve your pain? are you taking less medication? and do you feel like you are more active? I did get some info from my PM but I would rather hear from people who have had the experience. It seems like doctors always leave out little details like how much pain you might have.I am starting to get a little anxious about having this done. Thanks in advance for whatever info you can give me.

Just today, 22nd of January (date of your trial) I am searching for the same questions to be answered. I was just given the option to now try the SCS device made by Boston Scientific for lower back pain in L4-5-S1 area along with terrible left foot and left lower leg nerve pain.

I am so tired of taking 800 mg of Neurontin four times a day for nerve pain that leaves me so swollen, muscle stiffness and achy not to mention the fact that I still have moderate levels of burning and stinging because nothing takes it completely away. I take Vicodin and Baclofen for the lower back pain/muscle cramps/spasms, along with nerve block injections (2 injections at different sites at one time) approx. every two months.

I too am nervous and very anxious but at the same time willing to try anything that will give significant relief. I am praying for you and hope you have great success and relief. If you are up to it I would love to hear your take on all the questions you asked about in your original post when you feel up to it.
Thanks and Good Luck!!!
