I like that idea. The '40s to the present is a pretty big leap. The '60s was a turning point in the animated world, not just TV, but imported animation from Japan (Speed Racer, anyone?). And since companies have consolidated since the last movie, if they can get WB on board, they'll have the Hanna-Barbera cartoons, and also Tom & Jerry. I heard they tried and failed to get Popeye and Tom & jerry in the last movie, but it might work this time.
