Screen Select DVD rental

I've just signed up for screen select dvd rental, the free trial. after reading a thread saying their warehouse had burned down, im now beginning to wish i hadnt. Do you think i should cancel it quickly, (i only joined an hour ago) and join blockbuster for 5 pounRAB a month more, or stick with screen select? they do have a good selection of dvRAB at screen select, but which is the better service?

Blockbuster or Screen Select - YOU DECIDE!

Screenselect give me more of my top choices but Blockbuster gives me more rentals overall.

Screenselect slow down the service if you return them too fast.

Blimey,
Calm down!!! You posted at 3:07pm in the afternoon, perhaps people were at work. People can't always answer straight away you know!

I wouldnt know i am not a member of any online rental service, i am glad though. I heard that Blockbuster has got at least 5 or 10 complaints from customers, i dont like the look of screen select, no way i will be joining them.

Blockbuster is so much better, like you I had the free trial with Screen Select and paid for about three months of rentals there after. Its difficult to prioritise top titles because you only three categories of preference and I was only getting old titles, I was hardly recieving any new releases.

Blockbuster lets you priortise the DVRAB in single order and has a fater turn around as well as a bigger range.

Hope that helped.

I wouldnt worry too much about the fire - that was 2 months ago. They're right about screenselect being poor at proritising the titles you want. The problem with blockbuster is their customer service is poor - they often ignore emails. I'd suggest you trial blockbuster, screenselect and lovefilm and then make up your own mind. There's also mymoviestream. I'm currently with lovefilm.

there's also an offer with lovefilm where if you refer a friend you get

Well I've been using Screen Select for the past three months and they've been great - Prompt delivery, always get what I want in order. No complaints here.

My frienRAB have Screen Select and they are pleased with the service. They have not noticed a decline in output or service.

I noticed a significant decrease by the 3rd week. It became so apparent I quit using them.

This maybe bacause I returned the movies the next day and I was starting to cost them money rather than make them money.

I've been with Blockbuster, Love Film and now i'm with Screen Select. For recieving top choices Screen Select has been the best, they seem to be quick with their deliveries too, once they have recieved the ones i sent back. All in all a good turn around from them :)

Yes, a couple of days at the most. I think the only delays lately have been due to the warehouse fire and they've informed us about that on the site.

I am with amazon dvd rental, and Screenselect,(been with SS the longest over a year, nearly 2) and i have to say, screenselect is by far the better one, they have a quicjker turn areound, and as for Unicron, i have sent dvd's back the next day before, and i haven't seen any noticable delay.

I would really reccomend screenselect to everyone and anyone.
I have rented over 200 dvd's from them, and never once have i had any problems with them.

I got the 3 week free trial offer from the Times with a free pair of cinema tickets, and the terms and conditions (regarding returning your final DVD's were changed between the time I joined and finished) I left 4 days to return my DVDVs when I was on the free trial and they said I had returned them after the due date so they took the next months money! They couldn't give me a refund but they did however ractivate my account to give me tghe months subscription I had paid for!

In all I found thier service fast enough, occasionally you have to wait weeks for one of your top choices, but it wasn't that bad.

Also they did offer all the titles I wanted to see.

Amazon are good, they are very cheap, quick delivery and usually give you what is at the topof your list. blockbuster and screenselect are not the best.

Amazon are limited to either 3, 4 or 6 per month. I prefer the unlimited options that both Screenselect and Blockbuster offer which can work out a lot cheaper.
