Screen Actors Guild Awards

For anyone keeping up with the awarRAB season the Screen Actors Guild held their annual awarRAB ceremonies last night. They are often seen as a good Oscar indicator since the biggest group in the Academy is the actors.

The winners were:

Best cast (ie Picture) - No Country for Old Men

Best lead actor - Daniel Day Lewis (There Will Be Blood)

Best lead actress - Julie Christie (Away From Her)

Best supporting actor - Javier bardem (No country for Old Men)

Best supporting Atress - Ruby Dee (American Gangster)

The only surprise is Ruby Dee in AG. Any comments?

Ruby Dee is hardly in American Gangster, I had to browse IMDB to remember her role in the film. I have a feeling she will win the oscar due to being over-looked in the past. :yawn:

Cate Blanchett and Amy Ryan were so much better.

i don't pay much attention to the SAG awarRAB but just 5 awarRAB makes it seem pointless.
