I really loved the first 3 and i can't wait for the 4th that is due out in 2010 i always thought there was only meant to be just 3.From what i have read it's going to be set
10 years after scream 3
.

It's all a new 'younger' cast this time around with only cameos from the main cast of the first three, they better not be shitty and kill Sidney off and make the trilogy pointless.

I am not looking forward to this.

Scream 2 is one of my favourite movies and the Scream Trilogy is probably my joint favourite trilogy ever, along with Back To The Future, if they dare Kill Sidney I'll be deeply disappointed.

Same with Gale or Dewey.

Hope they are just cameos in flashback or through a TV, like interviews or something, rather than in the action and killed.

I still kinda hate that Cotton was killed at the start of 3, totally senseless to kill him imo.

Ah I adored how they killed him off at the start of Scream 3, good opening, it got to Sidney and so on, so it wasn't pointless.

I agree they shouldn't have killed Cotton off in the third (but then again it was a different writer so it was typical). It still grates on me that they didn't give Kevin Williamson the time he wanted to complete Scream 3 the way he wanted it to go, it damaged the franchise; Scream 3 could have been so much better.

I'd rather they just left it at 3.

What's the point in making a sequel if you are going to ignore those that appeared before? Its just cashing in on the Scream Name rather than coming up with an original horror. Or a more original anyway.

Its basically just going to be another stalk and slash film like the crap that is released monthly anyway, but with the Scream name dragged into the dirt because of it.

Early(I know you mean in the film)? he had a big role in the sequel, glimpsed in the first if I remember right, and had the whole opening to himself and girlfriend, had a good run. I must be in the minority who liked his death in the third.

IMO, Cotton was integral to the whole storyline and it was a mistake killing him off. I agree his death in S3 provided the necessary "scare" for that particular movie and it took the movie in the direction it went but I'd have taken it a different way and kept Cotton as a major character. Always the suspect, never the victim lol.
