:DAnyone else atcully rather excited about scream 4,

Courtney, Neve and David are all returning and i read somewhere that this could be the start of a brand new trilogy.

I loved the 3 films, the first one is the best (der) and the bit were tatum dies is classic (and she wheres no bra)

My one fear is that they could ruin number 4 and cheapen the series, i think they should kill one of the 3 characters off. But who.

My questions for everyone is fav of the triolgy, who should die (if any) and are you excited or do you think scream 4 is a big mistake.
 
I hope this good. Horror has really gone down hill for me over the past 2 years.Scream movies are a little cheesy but are so good and easily re watchable.
 
I read on a movie forum that Sidney is killed off within the first ten minutes which kicks off the story of the film.
 
It wont be, the three main characters from the first three films only have small/cameo roles apparently, the new films focus on the younger new cast.
 
But then I (17 at the time) won't be able to see it. :(

I think it was Scream 2 that was a 15 then. I remember one of them being a 15...or was that Scary Movie? :o
 
i loved the first two films mostly and the third is fun but not as great really.

Scream 3-3/5...still good stuff though.

Scream 4 could be a really good film, a slasher film with actual adults i hope, a mature perspective with a witty script/screenplay and greatly handeled direction i hope for Wes Craven, because even if he is given a crappy script to work with Wes manages to heighten the tension for audiences which is good (except the original hills have eyes 2 whit is shite!!).
it should eb a great film if done properly! make a change from the Saw films anyway.
 
I love the whole trilogy, can't really pick a favourite but it would be 1 or 2. I'm looking forward to 4, as long as it's done right then I don't think I'll see bringing it back as a mistake.

I hope none of the original trio are killed, nor that any of them is the killer - I think it could ruin the first trilogy for me! I could see one of those happening though, for shock value.

Hayden Panettiere has been cast for it apparently. She'll definitely be killed. The blondes always are.
 
Apparently Sidney isn't the lead in this film but her cousin is. I don't see how that is going to work as the film's main story was all about Sidney's mother.

So I think it gives us two obvious routes.

A) Sid is killed and her cousin takes her place as lead setting up the whole story ark.

or

B) Sid's cousin is her half sister from Sidney's ''loose'' mother and is looking for revenge. Eg: Sid's cousin is the killer.

But B has been done before so would they really repeat it?
 
B would be horrendous if they went that route...

Someone pointed out 'remake', maybe it will be some messed up killer who is killing to 'remake' all the killings from WooRABboro in his/her own way.
 
there's a lot for a new trilogy to take the p out of:
j-horror
torture porn
remakes - i think a lot of it will be based around this actually, would make sense
 
It is rumoured that Sidney is killed off, I hope it doesn't turn out true, another stupid Halloween Resurrection.

They can kill off that wooden Heroe's cheerleader before the title card, that would be fine. :)
