scratchy noise on sony vaio laptop?

for some odd reason, all of a sudden, my fairly new (barely a year old) sony laptop started making this really annoying scratchy noise. it's not the fan but i believe its the processor. i am ready to rip this thing apart and throw it against the wall!!! i can't even enjoy my music or youtube videos i watch, let alone, browse the net. can someone help? how do i fix this?
