This car has been really good. It only has 96,600 miles on it. Everything is still original. We were told by a mechanic that the engine is in very good condition and will hold up for a few more years. The body is still in great condition. No rust, dents nothing. I am planning on getting a new car really soon but need to know how much i could get scrapping it. Or maybe if it would be better to sell it.

Why would you even consider scrapping a low mileage car that runs good and is still in good condition.

A junk yard might give you $300 for it. You could easily sell that car for $1200 if you spent $100 cleaning it up real good.

At the absolute least, give it away to someone who needs a car, but DO NOT send this car to the scrap yard.

Most junk yards will pay between $50 for something trailered in to $150 for something drove in. If your car is a s good as you say it is then its worth at least a couple thousand dollars and if you don't want to go thru selling it or trading it in you can find places like the Starvation Army or the Cancer stores etc that will take the car and give you a receipt for its value to take off your taxes !
If it was me and it has such low miles and looks and runs good............I'd say to hell with the new plastic/computer controlled cars and stick to something made of steel !
