I don't think Yuna's popularity in and meaning to South Korea can be at all compared with Tessa and Scott's significance to Canada, much as I love them.
And Canada has a show that heavily features Tessa and Scott in Stars On Ice -- it's a different beast as Yuna's shows are sponsored by her own company, but it's undeniable that for the last two years they've served as centerpieces of the promotion and the show itself (featured spots throughout the program, in addition to their own nurabers). And Stars On Ice doesn't touch Yuna's shows in terms of success or turnout or sheer audience enthusiasm, for reasons having nothing to do with promotion of Tessa and Scott or not: figure skating is at the height of its popularity in Korea, and Yuna is essentially a folk hero -- she's the first of her nation to accomplish the things she's accomplished. It's the same reason she's unlikely to actually retire any time soon, regardless of how much it seems she prefers the show life. Conversely, after peaking in the Michelle Kwan era, the sport is on the wane in North America, despite the success of N.A.'s dance teams. Tessa and Scott and Meryl and Charlie might be better served featuring in a show based in east Asia.
