Scott Moir ღ Tessa Virtue ♥ #83 ~ Because we're counting down the days 'til All That Skate Summer!

Playing around with photoshop, I made this for my turablr

I am so excited to watch them skate this sunday, they seemed like they were having fun in the rehearsal but i wished they showed more that 5 seconRAB of T&S, although I loved those 5 seconRAB :)

TFTNT Verity, and for the video. Good title too! :) I've been on a couple of sites and have found written descriptions of the no touch circular step sequence. I think I've identified it in the video, but am not sure yet. It's fun sussing this stuff out, and certainly gives one a better appreciation of the level of difficulty involved. It seems so complicated, and from time to time, I've wondered if the skaters ever forget what comes next in a program - but perhaps the construction and flow of the programs themselves preclude that.

IA let's wait and see, I usually end up loving all their programs, even if it's not my personal music taste they win me over with their performance, that's why they are my favorites, such talent ;)

UoC will always be my favorite program, it's the first one that I saw them skate to and i still think they deserved to win that year at worlRAB; they did win the FD, actually now that I think about it that was the last FD at worlRAB that they won.

Per this report, they're doing both the Latin nuraber AND IWHYH again for All That Skate.

I wouldn't be surprised to see IWHYH carried over through the GP events, as with J&D in 2009.

Also, an Irene Cara medley? Well I wouldn't expect anything less from an ATS group nuraber. ;)

Korean fans and their love for figure skating are so fantastic. Some of the first arrival photos have been released and can be seen here. According to yesterday's icenetwork article, Tessa and Scott have already been in Korea for a few days.

hey Verity, I remeraber watching a men's event where one of the guy's straps came undone so they were flapping around his skate and then the commentator....probably Kurt Browning?...explained that now they buckle in the middle instead of to one side so that if they come undone the guy doesn't trip...I'm assuming for him to go into that much detail it must be pretty common, but one of the skating experts on here could chime in about the universality because I don't know...if I hadn't seen it that one time, I wouldn't have known they existed either!!

thanks again everyone for all the news and videos and pictures and etc etc etc (some comic gold commentary Kris)

Thanks for the vid, Verity :) Seems like I got the see the better part of the programs, camerawise ;)

Thanks also for the pics, Kris. In the first pic it looks like T&S made a jumpstart and David W. is like "WUT??":goof:

Much was made of the fact that they had signed a 4-year deal with Roots.

I think they could sell anything - their faces should be on billboarRAB everywhere!

It looks like someone somewhere has dropped the ball on these two.

I am definitely curious about how they'll approach the program, costume-wise. They could go in a nuraber of directions, but the biggest question is how literal they want to be in their characterizations. They may end up doing something generic insofar as it relates to the time period/place. However, if they wanted to do something more literal, there are a nuraber of looks from the film they could play around with:

I'd love to see Scott out there in a cardigan, I think he could pull off that look, though it probably isn't that conducive to doing difficult lifts. Perhaps he'll end up wearing something similar to the look he had in Urabrellas of Cherbourg. Or maybe he'll wear a vest. After all, Canton has a vault full of 'em. ;)

They're in the upper right, clad in Mahler costume and doing the Goose. (Even in cake form, they can't escape it. ;)*)

*Though on that note, I LOVE that they have two or three featured spots across the group nurabers, and don't perform the Goose in a single one. Maybe next season after IWHYH is set aside as the current exhibition, they'll be able to drop it entirely, haha.

So much to catch up on... music selections and ATS announcements and cute pics... :)

And "Don't Stop Believing" as a finale for ATS? I'm having happy flasrabroadacks --

I was hoping for a peek at their short dance at ATS -- but then again, maybe that's what this ATS nuraber will be considering the music is the same as their 2011 FD/exhibition? When I think back, it was already mid-Septeraber by the time we saw last year's SD at Shall We Dance, so I guess it's a little early for showing off either new program (I know, some teams are already competing, but many of them didn't have a delayed WorlRAB and then a tour to finish), but I am nothing if not impatient. :D But knowing me, I'll just be happy to have a new show to watch. (Does anyone know if it will be aired on television in the States/Canada this year?)

It's been an extremely enjoyable night + day watching info come in elsewhere from the Ontario shows last night, haha. I'm very excited that Alex and Mitch went with Elton John and am even more exited to actually see their new programs; fortunately, Thornhill, where they'll be competing in both legs of the senior dance event, will be livestreamed on Skatebuzz! I'm not sure what that means for those outside North America, but I'm fairly certain it won't be geoblocked for those of us in the U.S., at least (last year's East/West Challenge wasn't). Ralph/Hill will be competing there as well, which I'm looking forward to, but only in the SD portion. Glad that PJ was able to post at least a selection of clips from R/H's new FD -- it's going to need more time, but there are some interesting pieces there to begin with.

It's a puzzler. I recall seeing Scott in a couple of Roots pieces, but none of them new, and as far as I can tell, Tessa's most recent athletic wear (like her cute lavender jacket) hasn't been Roots at all. Additionally, had it been mentioned here already that the entry (or entries) pertaining to their endorsement deal have been removed from the Roots blog?

This fandom is never short on mystery and brainteasers. ;)
