I found a stream that acutally works, but I'm at work so I only can watch during my lunch break. I saw the last minute of the Saraba Medley, which looked awesome! SBS did a great camera work (at least with that last minute...) Now Hommage to Korea.. I hope I can watch at least the final nuraber... :)

IWHYH gets more intimate each performance - seriously, it feels like I'm intruding on something very private and special with this performance.

ETA: According to this, Elena and Nikita's SD music is "Hip-Hip, Chin-Chin." If this is true, then...yeah. I don't think there is anything wrong with using music other teams have used before (it happens all the time), but really? Using it the year after Tessa and Scott used it for their FD and are apparently recycling parts of it for their SD?
 
They should really find some way to work the commentary into their music mix, hahaha.

(That could really make for a fascinatingly meta approach to the traditional theatre-inspired program... ;))
 
Yes, having listened to most of the soundtrack pieces now, I agree that I'd love to see them use Basal Metabolism. It's jazzy, and the movement, as you suggest, could be very interesting.

I believe that it is used in this clip.


To me, this could be the basis for a very interesting FD. It's interesting that Avocagirl's video clip runs 3:25, but the Basal Metabolism runtime on the soundtrack is shown as 2:54, so I'm not sure what else is incorporated into the video clip.

This instrumental could be blended with an intro and/or ending using complementary music from other soundtrack selections.
 
I agree with Kris and Ioanna. We should wait and see what the program will be like before we wring our hanRAB and flee the place ;) I personally like the music choice, also because I like those old movies. The last theatrical program Tessa and Scott did was Urabrellas back in the 07-08 season. So yeah, maybe it could have a little back to the roots touch, but I think Marina won't be Marina if she would miss it to show the judges and the audience also the progress that they made over the years. It should be interesting to compare Urabrellas with Funny Face when the season is over.
 
David definitely seems very animated. I was intrigued. Thus, after careful and painstaking deduction, I believe I have accurately ascertained what was happening in these photos. A boat-load of drama, that's what!

Tessa has a plan that, if it succeeRAB, will change the course of Yuna's skating show forever. But can she convince the powers-that-be to implement this plan before Yuna catches wind of it? SHE WILL TRY.

First things first. She must GET TO DAVID W. and convince him that her proposed changes will REVOLUTIONIZE the show. Tessa makes her move.

David LOVES her idea! He is absolutely convinced! In fact, he is so happy about it, he's doing triple jumps!

Yuna cheers him on, but she has no idea what's really happening. Because Tessa, in cunning fashion, senRAB her loyal partner and potential Blackberry spokes-model, Scott Moir, over to distract Yuna while she and David conspire to change the show.

Alas, finally the time comes for David to break the news about the show's innovative changes...at a public press conference. He makes a SHOCKING REVELATION that the skaters in Yuna's show will no longer be wearing COLORFUL PANTS!

Yuna is BLIND-SIDED by this very public divulgement! David has betrayed her for the design affections of another!

Rehearsal continues that afternoon, but Yuna cannot contain her grief.

But Yuna will not accept David's apologies. She LOVES the colorful pants and feels betrayed!

Tessa remains cool, calm, and collected throughout the ordeal. She hates to be the instigator of Yuna's suffering, but skating show fashion must evolve and she knows this. Sacrifice for the sake of art!

As a last ditch effort to establish peace, David makes Yuna a deal. In exchange for no colorful pants, Yuna is allowed to choose the costumes for the opening nuraber.
