It's a preference thing. I prefer to see Showcase HD and National Geographic HD over HiFidelity channel.

I noticed tonight that on the Expressvu HD Promo Channel, 829, that when they showed the list of all the HD channels they offered, the Score was listed with the rest. Is this coming to Expressvu any time soon? I wasn't paying too much attention to it, but this is the only thing that jumped out at me.

Agent - yeah, I understood your formula.

My issue was your comment that the credit would "likely be less than one cent". If the pack is $10, and one channel out of that pack is missing for 30 days, yet the credit for that _one_ channel not being there for a full month is _less_ than one cent, then:

$0.01 > $10/x

Where x is the number of channels in the pack (we're talking about the HD pack here). I took out the divided by 30 part because we're talking about the loss of the channel for the full 30 days (so we'd be dividing by 30 and then multiplying by 30 again).

So, from the above we get:

100 < x/10 (inverting both sides, thus greater than becomes less than)

and therefore

x > 1000

Therefore by _your_ logic, since the credit is "less than one cent", ExpressVu must have more than 1000 HD channels.

Either that or the credit is much greater than one cent.

TVA and TQS HD are both a complete waste of bandwidth as they offer virtually NO HD CONTENT what so ever. Until that changes (and that's not likely to be anytime soon) they should not waste precious bandwidth space for channels that can be obtained OTA for 99% of people that would be interested in watching them (potential viewership numbers should also be considered since bandwidth is scarce and at a premium these days at BEV).

The Score HD is also a waste of bandwidth and should only be added much much later when additional bandwidth has been secured. Showcase, National Geographic, RDS, MMORE HD, and NFL Network HD are the next channels BEV "should" IMHO be adding to their lineup.

I know TVA and TQS HD are a waste of bandwith because they offer no HD content, but Bell already announced these 2 channels on her web Site (coming soon in HD section) and when i write to CSR about new HD channels, they reply me the "new channel department" will add TVA and TQS HD soon.

But for me, i just need RDS HD, i don't care about TVA and TQS in HD.

So you're claiming that Bell ExpressVu has more than 1000 channels then...is that it?

Because I don't know you're otherwise continuing to claim that the credit is less than $0.01 (one cent), for one channel missing for a month out of a pack that costs $10/month.

One of the best decisions made yet by Evu.......no Score HD. Quite frankly am surprised that such a non-entity would bring about so much discussion.

I noticed that also. That list on the promo channel is missing a few movie channels and some of the French hd channels. Now they have added a channel we don't get yet.

I hope to hell they DON'T launch Score HD, until there is actually some HD.

Score has shown some HD material, however, since their ticker takes up a huge amount of the screen, the HD material is "squished" vertically to fit the area above the ticker and looks pretty poor. This has been discused in the Score thread below:

(See the last few pages)

I've edited my post, but it seemed that it didn't go throught on the site...

BEV has 32 English channels included in the HD value pack, so 33 if you add the Score HD that you think you should get if you divide the price of the package by 33 you get 0,30$

Would you call to get a 0.30$ credit? I'm not even sure I would request a credit for such a minimal amount... And that's only if channel was missing for the hole month...

At this point it's useless to request any credit as the channel is not launched yet...we can not compensate for something that we don't have yet!

Just watching the SMU/Laval game and noticed on the ticker that TheScore HD is now available on Bell ExpessVu, just in time for the Vanier Cup.

Thank you for acknowledging that Evu doesn't have 1000+ HD channels... ;)

My ENTIRE point of contention with you has been your statement that the credit would be "less than one cent". Now you're saying it'd be about 30 cents. This I agree with, and I also agree that it's not (in my opinion at least) worth calling to get credited back onto a consumer's account.

i too have just seen "the Score HD" listed as an hd channel available on bev, Even though its Not even uploaded to their satellite ( from what i know so far).
Wouldnt this count is False advertising??

Well, im gunna give bell a call. if they have it im shure they will add it to my account.. if not ill complain and Whine until i get a nice Credit :) hehehe.
Serves them right for advertising channels that dont exist on the system!!

Channel 845. About time ! Actual HD programming looks good unlike the CIS coverage today is an eyesore to watch
