Scientology; More from John Sweeney

I see Leah Remini is too. Such a shame.

I wish people would stop calling it a religion though. It's a dirty, dangerous, bullying, money making CULT!

In 2007, while investigating the Church of Scientology for Panorama, reporter John Sweeney had a dramatic on-camera confrontation with a church spokesman named Tommy Davis. The church was accusing the reporter of bias and it attempted to stop the documentary from being broadcast - a campaign backed by Scientology A-lister John Travolta. Sweeney has returned to investigate the church again. Full Story

The Secrets of Scientology:
A Panorama Special, BBC One, Tuesday, 28th September at 9pm BST and then available in the UK on the BBC iPlayer.

Opinions;
Before and after the show.
It should be very interesting.

Tommy Davis gets to hang around with the Hollywood A listers, plus is fairly loaded himself. He has every reason to defend his business, erm I mean, 'Church'.

You had people who'd been with the organisation for 20 years and had been at the top saying it had changed in recent times and left, but you then had people telling of incidents that had occurred 15 - 20 years ago.

What the heck was going on at their London HQ, with people appearing to carrying out surrveilance on passer bys.

Maybe the tables could be turned, by a flash mob turning up outside the London HQ with cameras filming the surreveilance boRAB and following them home.

I was surprised Sweeney didn't realise previously his 'buttons' were being pushed or that his producer didn't point it out to him.

For an organization that seems obsessed with image, this spying and filming business seems very odd. It just makes them look even more sinister.
