If you have a cell phone or laptop or large screen TV, you’ll understand how annoying it is when sunlight glare renders your screen illegible. It’s even dangerous if that glare hits your dashboard and you can’t see how fast you're going. And for people who wear spectacles, glare off the lenses can be debilitating. But a new nanocoating developed by scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM in Freiburg, Germany, have developed a perfectly non-reflecting material for use on displays and through eyeglasses.
