1. Not without special habitats. There is no air or water or food in space, and no protection from solar or cosmic radiation.

Mercury - Mariner 10 in 1974, Messenger in 2008 and future.
Venus - numerous Venera probes and landers in the past, Venus Express in orbit now.
Mars - several orbiters and rovers there now, lots of missions in the past
Jupiter - Galileo in 1990's. plus Pioneer 10 flyby in 1973 and Voyager 1 flybys in 1979

Since you use pounds in question 7 you are American, so you probably mean NASA. NASA is funded by a combination of government grants, private donations and gifts, and the profits from technology patents.

6. There is gravity in space - any object with mass exerts a gravitational influence on every other object.

7. The surface gravity of the moon is 0.165 times that on Earth - simply multiply.

8. A frontier is a place or environment that hasn't been explored fully, that is beyond the normal rules and laws of civilization.
