Sci-Fi Animondays Uncut?

I watched Noein and Tokko through their entire runs. It looks like Noein had some minor cuts for commercial time, maybe 30 seconds per episode. Tokko's cuts were mainly the removal of some of the show's most graphic violence; if there were time cuts on that show, they probably killed two birds with one stone by removing the goriest stuff. They also muted the soundtrack over some of the profanity. I haven't been watching AniMonday for the last couple of weeks, because what they've been showing is stuff I already have on DVD, but they ran Blood: The Last Vampire and Dead Leaves last week, and the week before they ran Perfect Blue. If anything in the non-hentai realm was going to test the Sci-Fi Channel's censors, it would be those three.

Th only thing I can actually recall being deleted from Noein was the "Next Time" preview. Tokko did have some swear words bleeped out in addition to the aforementioned violence edits.

Well, it's not exactly an edit, but I noticed that Sci Fi (or maybe Manga) would move around scenes in Noein so the commercial breaks would occur at a more acceptable time in the show. This might have happened on other shows as well.

Also in Perfect Blue the 'rape' scene was shortened, and you are right about the the ice pick. Not only was not shown hitting that eye, but hitting the crotch (ouch). Naked scenes were blured but a good deal was kept in. Dead leaves, kept in quite a bit too.

Ah thanks :)....they show more darker Anime then i noticed Adult Swim been showning. Glad they brought it back......or for me, first time seeing their animonday saga.

Short (yet hot) shower scenes featuring Ibuki and Kureha (moreso Ibuki) were either cut (Ibuki) or panned and shortened (Kureha) in Sci-Fi's broadcast of "Tokko". Same goes for brief, mostly irrelevant boob/nipple shots of Kureha and Sakura. Strong language and gore were also shortened or cut, but most if not all of the cuts that Sci-Fi made on Tokko and most of its aired animes so far have made sense and haven't taken anything away from the shows themselves.

Well, it has been nice to just watch movie, or stand alone OAV shows. I already have enough different series I am trying to watch, kinda nice to see something that ends in one night. Which Sci-Fi does from time to time. Also Dead Leaves was an odd concept anime, fun to see something totally different.

I also never knew what shows were on before hand, but then I went over to the Ani-Monday forums on sci-fi and someone told where you could check out what was comming out in advance.

Didn't Spike TV air Afro Samuri for a while? Seems they left in a lot of that show when it was on.
