I was rather shocked. My daughter is 7 and at the beggining and end of each year the school does eye exams. My daughter has always passed. My other daughters all wear glasses and I got a free eye exam and took my 7 year old. After the exam I was told she was really farsighted and needed a rather strong perscription. I asked the doctor how the school would have missed this since sher has passed every eye exam. The doctor told me that the schools will only really test for far away vision. My daughter can see fine far away but upclose can't. I find it hard that her eyes could change so drasticaly in 3 months. Moral of the story parents no matter what the school says on vission get your kids really tested.
