Our son is going on a day trip soon to drayton manor park..
The worry and problem we have is that the school involved are sending the kids out on their own in groups of 4.
Their is no teacher watching them, they are given a meet up point every two hours.
Our son is 12 yrs old, the teachers say it gives them Independence.
In my day the teachers took responsibility and enough teachers were taken to watch the kids properly.
Do you think this is right that your child can walk around with no teachers watching them? AND what about the weirdos out their who could take advantage of this?
Also if the child was hurt or fell in the river?
Am i being over protective or do i have a right to worry in this case.
I know i could not let him go, but i dont want to do that and ruin his day. I know oother children are their to watch each other but thats just what they are..children.
I thought adult supervision is what you get in schools nowadays, but maybe im wrong.
What would you do?
