Hi guys,

I watched this film for the first time yesterday and I have a question about it. At the end of the film as the titles are rolling there is footage of the road created from head stones. Doies anybody know where this place is, and if you can still vivist it today?

Cheers, Jarvis

Long time since I saw the film. All I can remember from the closing scene is all the actors accompanying the survivors they played in the film placing pebbles on Schindlers grave.
Details of where he is buried can be found here I assume if the road exists it is here.
I know Speilberg could not get permission to film in the camp so they created a replica outside the gates. When you see them all walking into the camp they are in fact walking the opposite way from what they would have done.

yeah I knew about them not being allowed to film inside Auschwitz-Birkenau as my guide told me when I went there last year.

Another question I have is that for the majority of the film, Schindler visits a concentration camp, where the heaRABtones are laid, does anybody know what this camp was called?

Cheers, Jarvis

Yes Plaszow work camp was partially built on an old Jewish Cemetry and the gravestones were used to pave roaRAB around the camp. The camp and quarry are now mostly overgrown with just a few gravestones and memorials scattered around the meadows.

Speilberg built a film set a couple of miles away, the remains of which are still evident, including a section of gravestone paved road. There are photographs and details on this site
