Is this a joke? Must be since it's the gayest name ever.

Is what a joke? The site or its name? Just for the record, The X isn't a name that is officially used since after the launch. As far as i can remember we used it in the gmail address used to process applications with during the first weeks. While for us, "The X" was a name meant to be used just for fun during development, until we launched the site and unveiled it. It was made utterly clear to us however that people got the wrong idea, thinking that by using such a name, we were trying to be elitist fucks. Since then we call it simply SceneXpress, or SeX, because everyone likes the three letter acronyms (lol). And what better choice is there for an acronym than one that ridicules the use of acronyms as a means of creating hype? (kind of the antithesis to The X, heh)
