scenes that scared you as a kid

I stumbled across this relatively obscure Anti-Nazi propaganda from WWII, Education for Death. Scares me crapless to this very day.

As for *scenes* that scared me - well, I have to confess that as a kid, I found the Dracula segment of Treehouse of Horror IV disturbing.

And in my humble opinion, Heffalumps and Woozles is straight out of every kid's worst acid trip.

I'm embarrassed to admit that when I first saw Pokemon, in the one where Natsume sends that doll...that thing is very creepy.

I remember watching this video based on the Nativity. It was made Richard Rich (Fox and the Hound, Swan Princess) it was called, 'The King is born'. The part that traumatized me was King Herod...Just King Herod. He is bald, thick eyebrowed, has a dark jewish guy hanging around w/ him, and when he screams and rants, it just terrified me. After nearly 15 yrs, i found this on youtube and it didnt scare me as it used to. In fact, it is more hammy than scary:p.

Pretty much Ursula from the Little Mermaid. Her appearance made me uncomfortable around old, fat ladies for a while and her 'garden' of 'poor unfortunate souls' were probably the strangest, most creepiest looking things ever! Why would anyone want to keep a collection like that? EXPLAIN MOVIE, EXPLAIN! (Pounds desk, and blows his house up). Sorry about that. But im over it now. Thanks to ursula, i have a fascination for tentacled mermaids:anime:

I can't really think of any scenes that scared me... but I do remember being scared about what my mom might think after certain scenes happened, like "omg, am I gonna get in trouble for watching this?" And no, this wasn't adult stuff either... these were like some of the Disney movies that I grew up watching.

When I was REALLY young (like I can't even remember when, but I do remember it happening) the Beast in Beauty and the Beast scared me. Literally, when he showed up in scenes it would make me run of the room screaming. LOL.

I actually think that's really ridiculous now, but it's the truth.

Let's see...Courage the Cowardly Dog was my favorite show ever when I was little, but it scared the living jeebus out of me. Particularly the one where Muriel gets possessed and turns into the monster and also that one where there's the black puddle and Courage has to save everyone and the puddle almost dries up and traps him. Even now that show scares me, but I love it.

Also that scene in Pinochio where they turn into donkeys.

I remember a dream sequence in Speed Racer that freaked me out as a kid, where Trixie runs up to Speed and hugs him, only for him to turn out to be some sort of blue devil creature...at least, that's how I remember it. I was six when it aired, but I remember I stopped watching the show after that.
