Scenes from family films that terrified you as a child?

The bit at the end of Aladin when Jafar goes mental and turns all the heroes into evil things (evil genie, jasmine trapped in the glass, toy parrot, baby tiger) something about that scene always makes me feel sick to my stomach, maybe the music, maybe the animation, either way i dont like it!

You folks have mentioned my scary moments already, so I'm glad I'm not alone: the Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - all credit to Robert Helpmann for one of the creepiest performances ever in a family film.

Also the skeleton army in Jason and the Argonauts. And in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - not a scary moment but I remember being really upset when Willy Wonka turned on Charlie at the end as a final test. I was very young at the time...

As soon as I read the thread title I thought of that scene, I was horrified as a child :( Still am a bit now if I'm honest! It was the whole process of it from the second she was dragged in....

In fact, I was on edge throughout that film, it had a feel to it.

The original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- the scene when they are going down the chocolate river in the boat and the colours are changing and stuff

My brother was always afraid of the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang :P
