Scarriest Movie You Have Watched

Hi, thought i'd post this here.

One of my fave scary films was set in a run down councill flat. the characters were a teenage girl and mother, and possibly a toddler (i can't quite remember) and their flat was had a plotergiest. Does anyone one know the name of this film, it's bugging' me that i can't remember.

Somethings that may help you remember...

It was released about 2/3 years ago.
British
Filmed in a studio
The extra's on the DVD was a film about the Enfiled poltergiest

'One Hour Photo'. The first time I watched it at the cinema my skin crawled. It's not scary in the traditional way, with blood and guts and all, but Robin Williams plays such a wonderfully bleak part, with a great story and directing to keep you gripped and at the same time not wanting to watch all the way through.

Dead of Night.

A blast from the distant past (1945 I believe)
A 'compendium' of 4 stories - if memory serves me well - all chilling, especially the one involving the ventriloquist dummy. Its sending tingles down my spine just thinking about it

Inspired by this thread I watched the Shining the other night. I was petrified and I kept the blanket u to my face even though it was boiling hot.

Angel heart was creepy.but the one for me would have to be the EXORCIST.
I found that a creepy and uncomfortable film.bloody good though.

well i know this might sound incredibly lame, but at the time when I watched Jeepers Creepers for the very first time on cinema I was sh*t scared. Now its very bad and I dont see why I was scared about it.

'The Haunting'

The 1963 b/w original - NOT the godawful remake with cath Zeta Jones.

You don't actually see the ghost, just it's effects, but that makes it worse, your imagination can run riot.
The creepy atmosphere, the disturbing scenes when the main character dreams of her dying mother, the BOOM - BOOM - BOOM as the entity pounRAB on the other side of the door.

I challenge ANYONE to watch it alone, and not get spooked!

Another highly-atmospheric film, 'The Exorcist' would be a close second.
