I got Ju-on to watch tonight and i am looking forward to being scared witless.

Whats your most scariest / freskiest film?

The asians do it for me
-Audition
-Ring
-Phone

I watched "Creep" last night after reading a few less than favourable online reviews. I gotta say, it scared the bejeezus outta me! It was so freaky and really built up tension, I was very impressed with it, especially as a British horror movie, I think part of what freaked me out was the fact that it portrayed a situation that could quite easily occur in reality (woman trapped overnight in London underground.)

P.S. The Ring (US and Japanese) and The Grudge, both scared me too, as did 13 Ghosts and Darkness Falls.

thats a BIT of an understatement!!!

watch audition, its painfully slow for the first half of the film, i think to lull you in to a false sense of security, then BAM! ITS GOES A BIT MAD AND BAD!

I suppose it is. I found it much creepier/scarier than the American version. Films with subtitles are actually ok- Battle Royale is a cool film.

I agree, The Ring (japanese version) is THE scariest film I've yet seen, and I've seen a few. However I think it's better if you're not forewarned about it.

Haven't seen Audition, but someone else recommended it too so I may make apoint of watching it sometime.

I get scared veeeeery easily so I don't watch many horror films but I have to say 13 Ghosts did not scare me at all. It was awful. Oh, and I haven't seen the Japanese Ring but the US one didn't scare me either, but weirded me out. I thought it was really good actually, all the clues and puzzles and things.

Halloween (its the combination of the mask and music that does it) and I watched IT when I was quite young! Pretty scared of clowns now!! Never finished the film!

Battle royale was a top film too. i think people get put off by the idea of subtitles, but its better than dubbing.

will report back on Ju-On!

The Japenese ending of The Ring was a bit too scary for me. I also have found Scream 1, all the Aliens, and a few scenes in What Lies Beneath particularly scary. Oh and when I went to see the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in the cinema with my then boyfriend, and had to walk back home as we had run out of money,at midnight, for two hours where the only route was a wooded kind of isolated road...

Also certain scenes in Poltergeist scared me like crazy, same for Jaws 1 and 2.

But I have to say the one film that, no matter how many times I see it scares me something chronic, that wins it for me in the Scariest Film of All stakes has got to be Don't Look Now with Donald Sutherland. Even typing the name alone gave me a shudder down my spine and had me looking behind me to "make sure". The film is scary enough in its own right but what does it for me is the ending...

I'm now going to try and find a cartoon network channel on Sky as I have now scared myself!

Yeah it's deffo the Japanese films for me.
Well the Grudge was the freakiest film I ever saw ... it was the faces and the noise. It scared me so much! The next day we were in the market and I was innocently browsing dvRAB, then all of a sudden I heard that noise really loud and I did a little scream thing and put my head against my boyfriend's chest!!
They were playing it on the stupid tv to demonstrate the quality etc. I got some funny looks :(

House of 1000 Corpses is also rather gruesome.. not watched the sequel yet but dunno if i'll bother because House wasn't that good really. Though Rob Zombie is amazing!

Audition is fabulous, not scary though imo but disturbing.

Ringu is excellent, creeped me out in parts, unlike the remake(still enjoyed it though).

Shutter is another Asian horror that will scare you if you got scared of the others.

LOL I LOVED 13 ghosts even though I didnt think it was scary.
Rah Digga did well to break away from the usual "rapper playing themselves" mould and gave a good performance.

I still can't watch that bit, it was on the other night and I looked away. Horror films don't scare me at all, but that bit in Jaws, for some unknown reason, really does.

Halloween 1 gave me the chills, the way Myers was standing in the dark. Creepy. Also I was terrified in the first scene of Ring (Japanese)
