Scariest Film Killers? (May include spoilers to certain films)

Who is the scariest movie killer in your opinion?

Mine would be Kevin from Sin City, played by Elijah Wood. He never talks, and moves silently, and because of the unique filming style (black and white mixed with colour) in some scenes his glasses glow. Also, his killing style is chilling - chopping off womens' heaRAB, eating their bodies and mounting the heaRAB on the wall

Is it wrong that I couldn't take Elijah seriously in that role? I'm so mean!

I have to say, apart from all the stereotypical choices like Michael Myers and Jason Voorhies, the scariest killer for me would probably have to be the guy in 'Wolf Creek' (Even though I'm not a big fan of the film)... He made my skin crawl.

I've not seen many horror films, but Michael Myers is probably the scariest film killer. I was only 9 when I saw Halloween: H20, so I thought he was terrifying.

:D

It freakes me out whenever he is stood in the dark and you can slightly see the outline of his white mask.

He is much more frightening in the original films.

Pennywise from It was damn scary, also the woman in the red coat in Dont Look Now used to freak me out.

Never been scared by Michael Myers but I can see why the character worked so well, originally.
As a child I'd have to have said Freddy Krueger but Robert Englund's great performance seems a little hammy these days, even in the first 3 movies.

The scariest I've ever seen is Joe Pesci's Tommy Devito from Goodfellas.Probably because the guy is based on a real life villain and very believable, unlike most screen villains.

LeatherFace, emotionless and wears a mask of human skin. He scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.
Though Michael Myers is my fave slasher killer.

Mrs Loomis in Scream 2 always scared me. I think because it was Jackie from Roseanne going all crazy. Its a strange one, but she always scares me, even before the reveal, I found her very unnerving.

Scariest would have to be either the guy from Wolf Creek or The Killer from I know What You Did Last Summer (I was like 10 when I saw this and scared doesn't even cover how I felt at the end)

Prefer Michael Myers to Jason or Freddy in terms of classic slashers/horrors.

The moment where the killer dwarf is finally revealed in Don't Look Now scared the bejesus out of me, and I was about 23 when I saw that for the first time!

As a kid, the usual suspects of Freddy, Michael Myers, and Jason Voorhees (or his mum in the first one, thanks for the reminder Scream!) kept me awake at night, but that's probably because you shouldn't watch these things when you're twelve.

Patrick Bateman is pretty chilling, just because it's so much more believeable (if a little extreme). After I saw that I'd look at people at work, wondering if I was sharing office space with a psychopath :D You'd never know till it was too late...

Leatherface is hard to beat but I don't think he was emotionless. Have you seen how panic stricken he gets after killing the girl on the hook? Lmao, he's sitting there wondering "why are all the people coming into my house!" :D
What's more terrifying is he's based on a REAL case - Ed Gein, who robbed graves, killed and skinned his victims and wore their faces as masks. Now THAT'S scary :(

Horrid film! I watched it once and had a similar reaction to you. I've never seen it since! That's coming from a horror movie freak too! Some things should be left well alone, and knife wielding midgets in unsettling 70's slow burning horrors are at the top of my list. I'm going outside for a bit now. Whilst it's bright!
