Has anyone tried chemcial peeling? Im mostly clear and my derm recomended chemical peeling for my scarring. Im a little hesitant because I already usually have a pinkish tone to my skin and Im afraid that a peel will inflame that more..
Does anyone have any experience with this??
Any results from chemical peeling or any other treatment???? (ie. laser, microdermabrasion...)
(Its crazy, even after I stop breaking out I still have to deal with my past acne, blah)

I am in the same position and I look forward to hearing about people's experience with this.

i have had a chemical peel by my derm and it really didn't do anything. maybe it takes multiple peels to see a drastic improvement but i just feel like mine was a waste. also my insurance didn't cover it so i had to pay outta pocket for something that wasn't all that great. it didn't do much for me but like everyone says; try it you never know. if your doc really thinks that it could help and that it is the only way to have good skin- go for it. i hope you have better results than i did. good luck!:)

i'm not sure about laser but i had chemical. the pinkish tone is temporary (at least for me). initially my derm would spray some kinda acid (very iching & painful) on my skin. after a few minutes he then put on some lotion to soothen the pain and ichiness. that's when i see pinkish tone. the next few days my skin get really tight, then it started to peel like crazy. the result is quite good but can only be done once a month and it's expensive though. long investment

HI There!

Chemical peeling is just to remove the outer layer of the skin.

Try to research on SKIN NEEDLING. I'm still looking for negative side effects of the treatment but found none. Maybe you could check as well some related articles about that.

Anyone who'd done this treatment?

Can you be more specific about the scars you have? Chemical peeling would only help flat, red marks or browish spots. It will not help if the scars are pitted.

For pitted scars, the best treatment I've found is using a corabination of Silkia camellia oil and Epidermx microdermabrasion cream. I used to have 5 pretty deep pits, about 2mm deep, on my forehead and now they are barely noticeable. I have another 3 scars immediately above my upper lip and they are much smoother looking, though not as much as filled out as those on the forehead. I just need to put some concealer there everyday and they don't bother me as much anymore. Before even the best concealer couldn't cover them up.
