My scanner on my HP 1315v got sick and died--- it had Image Zone or something like that and it was so EASY to scan images.
Anyway, because I couldn't scan anymore, I bought a new printer and this is called HP Deskjet 4480.
It's ok for printing, but SCANNING is awful. I couldn't even scan anything in the Photo Smart Essential 3.5--- so I uninstalled it and founda download for just Photo Smart Essential which will at least let me scan.
But this is the problem--- instead of just scanning an image and it going directly to Image Zone--which I no longer have--
Now, I have to go to Photo Smart Essential--- hit "get images" then choose something bewteen the TWAIN (which doesn't scan) and something else called 4480, I think.
Well, now that is 2 things I have to click and another box opens up and I choose between color, black & white, etc and then hit scan.
So I have to click at least 3 different things in order for it to scan.
I scan quite a bit and need something faster.
PLEASE HELP ??
