Say you were going to teach a class on the history of rock n' roll.....?

The Stooges- Raw Power
Joy Division- Unknown Pleasures

idk i can't think of much right now, but I do know that i'd assign a project that each student had to pick an inaccessible genre and listen to bands from that genre for a week straight and write a report about it.

The Beatles, despite the slight disadvantage of two of them being dead. If they can't be dead, then Bob Dylan.

I would teach each pupil a Rock and' Roll song and they would perform it in front of the class. Each student would be given an band/artist of the day, and it would be their homework to go home and listen to one of their albums and come back and review it the next day.

Jimi Hendrix,The Beatles,Black Sabbath,The Who,Led Zeppelin etc
the project would either be a report on 50's rock and roll or play as a band and preform in front of the class

I always love your questions =]
I would mainly teach about The Beatles and I would try to teach about all of the albums. I would assign my class to start a band and play clubs and without staying in fancy hotels like the boys did in Hamburg so they would know that The beatles didnt just get stuff handed to them. They worked for it.

~The Beatles -Sgt Peppers lonley hearts club
~The Doors-Strange Days
