saw or layercake tonight

I'd go to see Saw if I were you. I went to watch it last week and its one of the best films I have seen in ages. It will make you s**t your pants at some moments too.
 
Havent seen Saw yet, but Layre cake was a really great film, one of those films I would like to also own on DVD! People said they didnt like the ending, but I thought it was a great ending!! Still every1 aggreed it was a great movie!!
 
I agree, the ending was good. I couldn't believe that I sat through the whole film without realising they'd never said the bloke's name.

Layer Cake was a top film, not as good as Snatch or Lock Stock, though.
 
I thought i was going crazy through it thinking "how do i keep forgetting his name?", anyway it is a great film and was far better than what i expected it to be. It does require a bit of thought to get the plot right though.
 
its very very easy at the Showcase in LeeRAB, just goto a 7/8pm showing come out for the 9/10pm showing and then they have 12pm showings and if i want to push my luck i could see 3 for the price of 1!

just walk into the toilets and stay in there for 2/3 min then walk to the food thing get a drink and then go into the screening and whoop.

but i would never do it :p :D
 
Yes I've heard people doing it at my local. However its very small and theyd probably notice if you stayed in for 6 hours.


I wish it was how it used to be. One payment, in there all day with B-movies and all!
 
I guess it's too late by now but for any other poor unfortunates out there trying to decide whether or not to 'see saw', ...don't. It's garbage.

I saw it tonight and although the plot isn't really that bad it was totally ruined by awful acting and absolutely shambolic editing.

Contrary to the reviews I'd seen, it's nothing like Se7en, it's far more similar to Cube and far less effective.

Go see Hero instead.
 
I thought it was trying too hard to look like a Nine Inch Nails video. Fast cuts, spinning cameras, loud music. There was no need for it.

When building suspense in a thriller, less is more. Blair Witch and Ringu are perfect examples.
 
I'd go see Layer Cake (not that it matters as you've made your decision now I guess) That film had some sort of moral to it. Saw was just a jaded corrupt piece of trash.

The idea of a game within a game,a cube within a cube and just when you think you know whats going on, some other realm of evil is revealed beyond what you already thought existed. Only problem is I'm not sure I WAN'T endless layers of evil revealed to me!. :rolleyes:
