Saw Miami Vice last night....... oh man....

Was it just my fucked up theare or were there ZERO opening credits to this film?

And does anyone have the soundtrack yet? If there is not a remix of The Miami Vice theme, then I will be dissapointed.
 
i saw this morning they the movie went way over budget and cost something like $180Mil to make and that it would have to make about $325Mil just to cover total expenses include advertising and promotion.

The movie looks good though, i will go and check it out.

You didn't find the plot used every fucking cliche, played out, typical action/love/drama movie trick in the book? It was so fucking predictable I wanted to kill myself. The most exciting thing in the entire movie was... umm, nothing.. maybe the car scene, or one of the shooting scenes.. not even the scenes but the execution.

This big shot cop "knows what he's doing" and falls in love. They are trusted with drugs based on zero credibility, no one knows who they are..


This movie reminded me of 2 Fast 2 Furious.
 
this is what I've been hearing all along. From what Nyce is saying it sounds like its was the worst movie ever made with people that didn't know what they were doing and actors that never acted before.

You honestly think a studio head would let that go on if he saw that the movie wasn't coming out the way it should?

You have Michael Mann, stellar fucking director working with an OSCAR winning actor. How can you say it was that bad?

looks like a lot of people were expecting an action flick (ala Bad Boys), no wonder a lot of you are disappointed.

I'm a fan of Michael Mann and his films, I feel this one was in line with his previous works and I enjoyed the film. However, everyone I've spoken to and the people I went to watch the film did not like it one bit. Guess that makes me the odd man out.
