Saw Miami Vice last night....... oh man....

[that was some of the worst shit I've seen in the movies in a while. Colin Farrell looked like a complete douche. Jamie Fox barely spoke and they had zero chemistry. Horrible plot, bunch of stupid cliche shit.. whoever wrote it tried too fucking hard.. it sucked big time]

i loved the movie. i'm going to assume the people that didn't like the movie have never seen miami vice the series before. the movie was exactly how i excpected it to be, and i fucking loved it!
 
YES. And a whole lot of people were laughing. It was stupid as fuck. Non-believable, little 'action', more talking and showing the cold, lost looks on these 2 faggots faces. Jamie Foxx is a great actor and did his best with this role but they didn't click at all. They acted like they just met each other.

YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FUCKING MOVIE.

Yes, Michael Mann is great, Heat and Collateral speak for themselves but he tried way, way too hard here. It was about an hour too long. There was so much bullshit filler material which could have been shortened that it's not funny. I could describe the main points of the movie in a paragraph without missing any of the important scenes because there weren't any.

again, people were indeed walking out and I have no reason to badmouth this shit because i like others spent money to go see it because i was expecting something at least 10 times better.
 
Yes, given that and knowing they attempted to recreate that element a whole lot of filller could be overlooked, but some of it just doesn't belong in a movie of this caliber. They didn't have enough substance and emotional connection between any of the characters except maybe Jamie Foxx and his gf. This is particularly shocking coming frome Michael Mann. There is no way anyone could think Collin Farrell was good here.

I didnt like it.

The fucked up 'Numb' in the trailer and even worse in the intro, they started at the wrong point.

The second act was deathly long.

SO much shit happened where I had no idea what was going on . I 'got' the film and understood what happened but there was so much shit that i dont remember that didnt make sense that hsould have been cut so it was barable.

The love story was poorly done.

Half the theater was asleep

Did I mention that second act was unbarable?

I love the cinematography. It put you right in there and got you invested. I have been wanting ot do a war film in this style for some time.

THe only reason this was called Miami Vice was for marketing. This had nothing to do with the show beyond the character names.

SO FUCKING SLOW

Cut out 40 minutes, and release it in the fall and make it a little more smart and it would have been great. As is, it was poorly done. Mann slipped on this one
