Saw franchise officially "'most successful horror series'

I'm sure this will p*ss off as many people as it pleases. Personally I'm glad as it's my favourite horror series, I love the continuity between films - you really need to have seen all the films to follow it properly.

Having said that, I'm glad the next one is the end - there's only so many minor characters from the previous films they can suddenly promote to a starring role:D. But as for "every question" being answered, I'll believe it when I see it.
 
My favourite franchise is Scream but I think Saw would be 2nd. I like the way every movie is connected unlike all the Friday the 13ths and final destinations where it has a new cast for each one.
 
I do like the series. I have to wonder whether those box office comparisons are adjusted for inflation, though. I had thought it's financial success was due to them being cheap to make rather than them pulling in huge revenues.

I'm not sure yet, I think it'll depend on who dies in Scream. I know I won't being going to a cinema to watch it if they kill off Sidney unless the reasoning for it is more than just a shock "Let's kill off the unkillable from the first trilogy" Plus Saw has another movie coming out before Scream 4 so will add another few million to it's current tally meaning Scream 4 will need at least 300m at least.
 
I think it will do really well. There hasn't been many slasher movies like it in ages, it's all about ghosts and creepy kiRAB now. The last 2 movies made over 150 million each, so we'll see, either way the Scream franchise will do better, isn't Scream 4 part of a new trilogy?
 
I loved Saw 1. Classic horror. I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd episdoes but the franchise became too convoluted and confusing.... very quickly I lost any empathy or connection to the people in it. Who is the actual killer and why? The Amanda link was clever but the cop seriosuly confused me... partly because I couldnt rememebr who he was...all the cops looked similar.... who managed the casting??? I watched every film in the first week of release...but I did not see last one and still have not. Becuase I no longer have a clue whats going on!!!! Will I see the last one?? Only if ...... it turns out to be Saw`s wife behind the whole thing..... it would only then make a little sense.
 
I've only seen the first 3 and they are all good films. Number 2 is my personal favourate, i thought it was hlarious when the girl put her hand in the cage thingy and it got stuck and when she relised it was stuck she put the other one up there HAHAHA.

I must go and buy 4, 5 , 6.
