saw 6 is out this halloween so i was wondering how many more sequels people would like to see? me personally would like it to keep going on forever

what does everyone else think?

Saw VI should be the last, but it won't be.Saw V was OK but basically a filler movie, and the new writers are having trouble stretching the Jigsaw concept any further.
I have a feeling that VI will be Tobin Bell's last Saw movie, but when a franchise becomes so profitable..

6 has been going ahead for some time now, even some Scream Queen contest winner has got a little role in it...

I thought I read the makers wanted to stop at 6 or 7.

Saw 6 is the last one, definitely. After 3 came out they said they were gonna do 4, 5 & 6 and that was it. Whatever, 6 better be better than 5 or else why even bother?? OK, 5 wasn't totally devoid of any good scenes, but they couldn't make the story interesting or make us care about, well, anything that was happening in it. There was no real big twist at the end, which at this stage is pretty unforgivable. The last one should have the biggest twist ever to compensate.

Sadly, the spirit of the first Saw is all but gone. Didn't they shoot Saw in 12 days, or something crazy like that? And there was only one exterior shot which they shot illegally without a film permit!

I personally think that the first 3 were all awesome, and then the 4th and 5th were awful, although 4 had its moments.

Killing the two main antagonists halfway through a series is never a fantastic idea, though killing Amanda as part of the twist was acceptable I suppose.

I'm sure you'd like Big Brother to keep going on and on forever too, but here's a little notion for ya - NOTHING LASTS FOREVER. Not you, not me, not Saw, not Big Brother not even Eastenders!

The Saw films have long since had their day (should have ended as a trilogy with Saw III imo) and is in dire need of being put to rest once and for all.

Didn't know that little bit of Saw trivia.

I did read that Tobin Bell was contracted up to Saw VI and there were whispers of a seventh movie coming from that Saw fan festival.
Now I don't know who owns the rights to the franchise but if the studios have any say then I think we'll get further movies if Saw VI performs as well as the last one.

I just can't see them ending something that is still making so much cash while costing relatively little to produce. Not in the current economic climate anyway.

I hope VI is the last. I like all the first four, and in fact prefer the later ones to the first. V was a disappointment though, and the further they get from Jigsaw's death the harder it is to maintain any kind of credibility. They have left several loose enRAB and if they tie them all up neatly in VI it could be great.

Then I'd like to see a new franchise, "from the makers of Saw" and with the same tone.

Not really. We didn't find out anything in 2 - 4,but his name was on the list of possible Jigsaw victims at the FBI office in Saw V.The house in part 5 is the same house as in part 2 and that is above the bathroom where we last saw Dr Gordon (no pun intended).
It looks like his body was never found, but there are many plot holes that need to be answered.
