well its out tomorrow (29th October) and i have been really looking forwrd to it :D and iv'e just read what happens in the film and i cannot wait to see this tomorrow :D please dont read the following spoilers if you don't want to no what happens :p

Dr Gordon is revealed as the 3rd apprentice to Jigsaw however his intentions are good.

Jill dies

The main character fools people into believing he is a jigsaw survior and is some sort of celebrity, he also runs a support group with other jigsaw survivors including Dr Gordon. The main character is then placed in traps for lieing.

and the film enRAB on a minor cliffhanger but ultimatly really does come full circle

that is Jill in that scene, but its a dream scene, she actually dies with Hoffman putting the helmet amanda was tested with in the 1st film on her.
:)

It's quite a good film. The traps, for the most part, have little do with furthering the story they are used in a similar way to the past couple of movies, where the Hoffman story rungs alongside a self-contained 'Victim' story.

The films are tied up by the end of Saw 3D, Dr. Gordon is back and Hoffman gets his comeuppance. I suppose they could make another Saw film but they would have to start a new story.

The only thing that I didn't like was that Jill
had her face ripped apart!
:(

What's with all the spoilers?!

I don't understand people who feel the need to find out exactly what happens in the film before they go to see it. What's the point? Why even bother watching the film at all? May as well go read a book!

The same goes for people who feel the need to tell us exactly why a film has been given a certain rating therefore spilling the beans on what items were deemed appropriate/inappropriate to achieve that rating.

i have just got back from watching it.

have to say BRILLIANT!

Im glad they showed Gordon was behind most of the traps, i knew this though anyway :p the last 10 mins are awesome, so gutted Jill got her head ripped of :(

3D was not all that but tbh SAW does not need 3D to be good but overall brilliant.

8.5/10

GAME OVER!

I just got back from watching it....it was "okay", definitely a step down from Saw VI imo (which i thought was the best since the first), and only just better than Saw V (by far the worst).

Honestly, i thought it was very predictable. I didn't know anything about it beforehand but i guessed that Dr Gordon would be behind some kind of test on Hoffman as soon as he appeared. I thought it was fairly clever how they tied him into the previous films though with all the medical stuff which Jigsaw couldn't have done himself.

The traps were pretty hit and miss though compared to the previous ones (the chain reaction one with the guy from Linkin Park was good though, i guess Hoffman didn't like their new album either! lol). And honestly, that was some of the worst 3D i've seen, it wasn't needed at all, it seemed to consist of a mostly 2D death scene and then throwing a few 3D CGI gibs at the audience. Pretty lazy if you ask me.

And as for the ending....sequel bait much? They're blatantly going to make another one, maybe not next year, but i guarantee that we see Saw VIII in a few years with the tagline "Jigsaw's back!"

That said though, i did enjoy some of it, but i was hoping it would keep up to the standard of Saw VI, which it unfortunately doesn't.

I'd give it 6/10, maybe 6.5/10 if i'm being generous.

I'd rank the series like this:

1) Saw
2) Saw VI
3) Saw II
4) Saw III
5) Saw IV
6) Saw 3D
7) Saw V

If I hadn't of seen the film last night I'd be peed off with this...the whole post should've been in spoiler tags.....

Just got back from seeing the film.Overall i thought it was good but not as good as Saw 6.As for the 3D effect it worked sometimes while others times it was a waste of time having it.Some of the traps were pretty intresting.

I originally thought that
It would turn out that Bobby's wife wasn't in the same building as Bobby. When Bobby got into the room he thought his wife would be in she wouldn't be there & he would be trapped in the room. And when the timer reached zero his wife would be free.I was pretty pissed off that she actually died seeing as she didn't have a clue that he had been lying all this time while the others did.

Also
I was sad to see Jill die.I was glad to see Hoffman get his comeuppance. Also what was the deal with Hoffman stabbing people in the neck or throat?.Surely the writers could have come up with some more ways he could have killed people.

As for the ending
It does look like that the chapter has been closed. In saying that perhaps Dr Gordon could carry on John's work.

As a massive fan of the Saw series (it's the only film release each year I get (got) actually excited for) I have to say I f**king hated it.

The traps were lame for the most part (I imagine the meeting went something like "Ok, we're doing this one in 3D...LET'S STAB PEOPLE WITH AS MUCH SHIT AS POSSIBLE!!!".

The trapped guys storyline played out like Saw III, IV and VI and had absolutely no emotional resonance (the terrible acting my his wife and frienRAB didn't help this cause).

And the ending, oh god the ending. WorRAB cannot express how angry the ending made me
since I'd guessed it since the start of Saw 2...I can't believe they did such lazy writing
