Saw 3 being banned?

The pre '84 VHS from Go Video was also badly cut with some of the more extreme moments edited out.

Any other release from Europe or the US will be uncut.
The Dutch EC release is completely uncut and even has 10 seconRAB extra during a film within the film that is missing on all other releases.
But the US special edition is the one to get.
Its a new transfer with a new surround mix,has copious extras and even has a menu option to watch the film with the animal slaughter skipped if you want.
Its a nasty in every sense of the word and the UK dvd is cut by over 6 minutes.
However,the same directors sleazy movie House ON the Edge of the Park (which was uncut on pre '84 VHS)
is on UK dvd with an incredible 13 minutes of cuts making it a more pointless purchase than the UK release of CH
 
is it just me or have you got to be a little twisted to want to go and see a film like Saw 3 in the first place. How is the torturing and murder of innocent people remotely entertaining!!!
 
I saw this today, and it was outside of my comfort zone I'm afraid. I'm such a wuss, there were a substantial number of scenes where I had to look to the ceiling, in order to pretend I was still watching.

I'll get back to my Disney box set now.
 
My wife will be watching it when it comes out on dvd.It will be a good excuse for me to go down the pub because i hate gory films like this as it would only give me nightmares. :eek:
 
I thought Hills have eyes n hostel both rubbish! Tho the hills have eyes was a bit ****ed up in places, it wasnt nething really shocking or stomach churning!

The scariest film I watched was The Descent!!!! That actually made me jump and was the first movie ive ever watched from behind a pillow!! lol
 
Yeah the descent is chilling cos it makes you feel quite claustrophobic and the ending is absolultley great. Saw 3 really gory but I thought storyline was rubbish compared to 1&2
 
The quite excellent Saw 2 was on Box Office recently so it'll be on Sky Movies very soon.

Saw 3 was quite good, explained a couple of questions from the previous films but wasn't up to the same standarRAB really. The "cleverness" wasn't really there, although the ending was quite good. Not up to the heights of the other two, though.

Yes, there was a lot of gore but I can't say it was much worse than the others (or a few other movies) in that respect.
