my friend tols me all about this movie! she loved it!! i saw a commercial today and it said that it was in limited theaters now but this friday it is in more theaters!

I loved this film!

Any Roswell fans out there?? There's a scene in the movie (I barely even saw this, my friend pointed it out to me) that shows the first Roswell High book, "The Outsider" with the whole cast of Roswell on the cover. It's a bit blurred because its in the background but if you're a fan, I'm sure you can spot it... if you want to know what scene --I don't think this is spoilerish: It's after Hilary turns of the computer monitors and is speaking with Patrick **oops I meant she's speaking with Pastor Skip. **

This movie was a lot of fun. I really recommend it. Too bad there isn't a soundtrack, I would really want Mandy Moore's cover of "God Only Knows."

I saw this movie this afternoon and it was great. Jena, Macauly, Mandy, Patrick, and Eva were so good in this movie. I think I am crushing on Eva because she looked so hot in this movie.

Im would really love to see this movie. It's interesting to read reviews and ppl debating when it is "pro or anti Christianity".

Sadly I havent heard of a release date in Australia yet :(

Omg, I loved this movie! My fav. scene was when Mac's character dressed up as the roller skate, that was so cute.

OMG I freakin loved this movie! It was sooo funny! Mandy Moore cracked me up so so much !:lmao:

I just got back from seeing this movie, and I loved it. I think the story along with all the great actors made it what it was. It was funny, but not overly funny and I completely agree @ L L S T @ R Mandy was so believable.

Haha, I skip over threads all the time!

I also went to catholic high school and there were things I recognized but other jokes were so far fetched that I couldn't enjoy them. Plus, I'm christian and I was trying to keep an open mind and I guess that during that process the movie sorta slipped by me without scoring any points.

Heh, sorry, Nikki.

I looked through the pages to see if there was a thread like this, but I guess I skipped over it. :look: But thanks, heh.

And really? I thought it was funny.

Maybe it's cause I go to a Catholic high school, though .. and I've definitely got friends who are like that. The crazy religious kind. So, yeah .. I totally understood it all. Haha.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing this movie. All great actors and actresses in it. I'm interested in seeing Mandy Moore in a different role.

This movies lookes hilarious. I can't to see it and I am glad it is expanding where it being shown.

Just giving this a little bumpie bump but since that's "illegal" ;) I'll say that I found the film a little boring and overrated. I was expecting better jokes.

a little while ago i came back from seeing 'saved'....i really enjoyed it.....i was hestitant to see 'saved' in the very beginning because mainly i thought would be just another dumb teen comedy type of film....(i see mostly independent film).....instead i found a really relevant satire about the christian faith and christianity......i ran into one my girlfriends who happens to be jewish at the theater, so we sat together...and we both shared more than a few laughs watching this film........i especially liked jena malone in her role....i last saw her in 'the united states of leland'.....mandy moore was excellent.....mainly because, it seemed to me, she was making fun of the goody two shoes type image she normally portrays in film and in real life.......i guess the two characters in the film that i liked the most are "cassandra" and "roland" played by macaulay culkinin...it's good to see him playing some more interesting roles....(i last saw him in 'party monster')

the film opened with the old beach boys tune "god only knows"...sung by michael stipe and mandy moore........and it basically ends with the question...."what would jesus do?"......
i was pleasantly surprised when i discovered that 'saved' was being shown in the biggest auditorium at the "art house" theater i saw it at......595 seats...i asked........with probably 200 people besides myself and my friend in attendance.......rating this film i would give 'saved' :star::star::star::star: out of :star::star::star::star:......for enjoyablity, humor and a feel good mood walking out of the theater.....

I saw this last night and was very impressed. The story, the acting, the casting, the setting, the music, everything was perfect. The only pet peeve I had, but I understood, was the ending. I thought it was too contrived, but someone pointed out that it was like all these sins, made something so beautiful and it was like a rebirth. Which I liked, but in a way it seemed very cookie-cutter.
Patrick Fugit was great in this movie as well as Eva, Mandy, Macauly, and Jena.
But, I think Mandy had the best performance of the entire movie. She just sold me. Completely.
Great movie, and I will be awaiting the DVD release.

I love this movie! One of my favorites. I watch it over and over and over...

Patrick: Mary, you want to go out sometime?
Mary: What? Are you going to take me out on your "scooter"?
Patrick: Come on, I'm like, totally adorable, besides, it would drive Hilary Faye crazy.
Mary: I can't. I'm... not dating right now.
Patrick: What about tomorrow night? Will you be dating then?

They were so cute...

Cassandra: There's only one reason Christian girls comes down to the Planned Parenthood.
Roland: She's planting a pipe bomb?
Cassandra: Okay, two reasons.

Veronica: Roland is so blessed to have such a thoughtful sister. You know, in countries like China, Hilary Faye would probably have been killed at birth.
Hilary Faye: And then where would you be, Roland?
Roland: China.

:rotfl:

I've been waiting for this film to come out since last year. I'm a really big fan of Mandy Moore and the thought of her breaking away from the teenybopper mold into films like this really made me excited to see it. I'm going to go see it tomorrow. I live in Chicago and it's only playing at two theatres here but it's not that far away from my house, it's downtown. I'll let you all know what I think tomorrow or Sunday. :)

I am psyched to see it, the trailers look good. I am also looking forward to seeing Patrick Fugit in something else because I love "Almost Famous" :)
