Save me the embarrassment - is wearing lounge wear on an airplane okay?

I have an overnight flight to Amsterdam coming up, and have been trying to plan outfits for the trip.

Is it embarrassing or acceptable to wear sweat pants on the trip?
 
Are you kidding that's probably the most comfortable thing that you can wear. But if you still think that's not the best choice then wear some type of athletic shorts or athletic 'slacks'.
 
i'm not a big fan of sweat pants, but i love the ones from hollister or abercrombie they're super comfy & you can do just about anything with them! they're like $20 or $30.
 
Yes. I usually wear yoga pants on the plane. Wearing something like jeans can cut off your circulation. Nobody's gonna care what you look like.
 
Definitely okay. You're not there to impress anyone on the plane. What I did on my long plane flight was wear leggings, flip flops and a t shirt and put a change of clothes in my carry on bag and changed at the airport when I got off the flight so I wouldn't be walking around in those clothes until I got to the hotel.
 
yes its okay, but personally I don't like being in public in sweats so I throw on a pair of leggings which are just as comfortable in my opinion and a sweater dress
