I want to buy a cheap used car and torned between 2 cars; the price tag is the same, but one is a 2007 Saturn ION and the other is 2003 Toyota Matrix.

Which one should I go with? The Saturn is cheap for a 2007, but it's not a reliable brand name, is it? I've heard that Saturn cars tend to have many problems; not sure if that is true.

Any advice would be very appreciated! Thanks!

Get the Saturn. Its 4 years newer which probably adds up to 50-60k less miles. That's a lot of wear especially if someone didn't bother taking care of it.

Make sure you get someone to check it out before you buy it though. Cars that aren't taken care of wont last.

You can still get Saturn parts easily. Its a GM product. Any GM dealer can service your car and get you parts. Its also the same car as a Chevy Cobalt which is a pretty common car. The Pontiac G5 is a newer version of the same car too.
