The Tom & Jerry/Mumbly Show aired for the last time on ABC Saturday Morning; a week later its former timeslot was given to the first half-hour of The All-New Super Friends Hour, a new Hanna-Barbera creation. It would immediately switch to syndication that very fall, when the 1975 T&J TV shorts aired with theatrical-era MGM Tom & Jerry cartoons on local stations until Turner grabbed them up in the mid 1980s for a whole new run on cable television.

I know you like the show Aarhan, but to me the 1970s Hanna/Barbera Tom and Jerry cartoon is just unwatchable. The only Tom and Jerry that should be celebrated are the original 1940-1958 theatricals, IMHO.

And yes, this belongs in the Boomerang forum.
