Sanyo Xacti Camera Problem! HELP!!!!?

Okay, i recently got a Sanyo Xacti camera, and I can't figure out how to import videos onto my computer and save them in a file. I put the memory card in the right slot, and it asks if i want to import to my computer. I click that option, and it starts to import them, but when i take the memory card out, all the videos disappear. How can i save them to my computer so i can edit them in Windows Movie Maker. URG! Help!
