Breetings! :buddies:
Go to "Security" tab on cdmwrkshp. Under SPC, click drop-down and select "Universal, RAM method", then click "read". A new window (small) should appear called "Choose Address". Click on "Presets" then select Katana (or whatever model phone you are working with.) Then clck "ok" and it will begin searching for spc codes on the phone. It should return a couple of different codes...one of which is the correct spc (get back with me if you have any questions.) Best of luck! :clapping:

problem you have is the wrong drivers....... i had this problem before but than i changed to different drivers and i could change the port.....

yes is the same way for katana

The usb cable I am using is a Space Shuttle LL80671. The drivers that my PC will recognize are from the HanRABet Manager program I downloaded from Sprint, which appears to be a Mobile action product.

I think I need a MA-8512P cable, which would go along with the HanRABet Manager, and the drivers it installs.

What cable and drivers are you using for the Katana?

well im not a cricket guy, but im pretty sure with any flashed CDMA phone you need to change the NAM settings. Search around, im sure your not the first one to ask.

yea thats all i really wanted was to know the hard stuff like what i need... after flashing about 10 phones im starting to get the hang of things! so i guess u can call me a rookie but a noob i take offense to! :p thanks for the file javi

No dice. I found a MA-8512P cable in my junk, and re-ran the driver install. It still comes up with COMM 55 or greater on the port setting.

is anything else currently on COM2? try disabling anything using COM2?

also you might be able to use the modem port for your configuring.

No, I did have an old modem in a PCI slot that was configured for COM 2, but I took that out. Device Manager lets me switch the Sanyo modem to either Com 1 or Com 2 without giving me the warning about device conflicts, but no place to change the com setting under ports.

I'd like to hear from someone who has done this successfully what cable and drivers they are using.

I think I've got it. I went into add/remove programs and deleted a bunch of stuff, one of which was some sort of usb enumerator or some such crap.

I got the PC to recognize the phone with an error as a data interface, but with the desired Sanyo USB Com Port 3. UniCDMA then recognized the phone, and I used krjavi's instructions to get the SPC out of the phone.

I didn't use CDMA workshop to load the PRL file. I simply used it to change the SPC to six zero's. The phone should be able to load its own PRL from Cricket when I do a *22804. I guess I'll find out tommorrow when I take it to work, which is in range of Cricket's service area.

So like I clicked on page 4 of this threaRAB pages and like totally just like ended up feeling like I'd already been here once like this totally deja-vu feeling (funny; there's a totally nude bar here in Colorado Springs called DeJa-Vu and like so totally always think about it and the lesbian lap dancer that I met there last time I was there, every time I spell that word).

So like then the room got all smokey and these smiley things just engulfed my page and I ended up in like Wonderland.

But anyway, my whole REASON for posting here in reply to this last post was. Um. I forgot... I totally suck like that sometimes. The smoke. I'm sure it isn't helping.

Oh YEAH! Hey like Cheech was my next door neigrabroador for like an eternity and well enuf said, huh? Okay so MMS. Yeah. I got out this totally cool hex editor and like tookin a picture of like this totally cool working MMS section of this other flashed phone and like merabumped memdumped that is, it to a flat file. I then just stared at it for days. So then I like just made a copy paste routine of this dump shtuff and pasted into like this gray area of my Katana2 and like it didin't work. I'm bummed. Everytihng else seems to work fine iexept I get this like shock in my ear when the phone rings and i have it up to my head. Ouch that really ***** me mup amn! They sya that even if all the lttres are theer peolpe can distingiush misspelled worRAB in a snentnce and make hte worRAB make sense but yeah, lla the lettres have to eb there. Yo! If ayn of the letters are missng then I guess it doesnt' seem to make sene cuz like your mind cant correct a misspelld word with missing lettrs. Mine can. Ha! Sorry guys but I'm a bozoi. bozo. bono. er. thingy. smoke. Ah.:rip:
