Hi! My entire family originates from a very small town in San Luis Potosi, Mexico (La Gavia, Villa Juarez, SLP to be more specific.) I remember my grandfather speaking tales about his childhood and how he remembered slaves working the land and building many of the churches and what not that still stand today. Is it possible that slaves existed around that time (early 1900s - late 1920s) in Mexico? Or could it just have been my grandfather talking nonsense? Is there anyone that knows any possible website where I could find more information regarding the land where my family came from? 10 points to the best answer! :]
