I am thinking of buying the Samsung WEP 430 for my Samsung Messager.

Anyone have it? Good or Bad?

One....I searched the whole forum and only found very few posts about it w/o any major reviews on posters personal experience.

Two....It's sold by Cricket local corporate store and have not found it anywhere else in my region in so far as electronic stores. I went to Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, and even Sprint store and no one carries it. So. It seems that if you are a Cricket customer with a Samsung Messager or similar blue tooth enabled devise you might have run into it. If you have, I would like to know if it worked well & specifically with the Messager.

Happy now?

Lets not start a flame war haha.
I personally left the thread open because it does deal with cricket as cricket is the one in our area to sell the device for the messenger...

As far as acutlly using it, i dont ever use bluetooth haha to much of a hassle

The two that seem to be the most popular are the plantronics 510 and of course the jawbone. I own both, along with a plantronics, and some offbrand one, and a few others, I think a Motorola one. I do not know the samsung one personally, it could work, but chances are, you will be disappointed with it.

Both the 510 and the jawbone rock I have not bought a jawbone 2 because well for the 40 extra bucks, a smaller one just isn't worth it to me, but give me 6 months, and I will probably get it.

The 510 and the jawbone work really well. Besides that, I have owned several others and none have come close.

Moral of the story, make sure there is a return policy on it, because chances are you will be disappointed with it. BT heaRABets are the only product I know where they make 10000 different kinRAB and 9998 of them are useless.

That is just based on my personal experience with the 6 or so bt heaRABets that I have picked up in hopes of having one that works. I learned just stick with what people rate the best.

As far has AD2P, I just got a motorola S805 and they are big, not super loud, but sound good, stereo bluetooth ftw, both the messager and the jetset support it. I have not tried outgoing voice quality, I just got it for the geek factor.

If you do grab it, let us know how it works, maybe record a sample and toss it on here. It is a law in Cali, and soon other states to use them, and with cricket's expanding coverage, it is good to know how to legally use the great affordable service that is cricket.

 :silly:

I literally checked all those stores and none 'em knew what device I was talking about. Most sold Motorolla and promoted the Jawbone. The only place I found it was in *two* Cricket corporate stores. And they weren't even promoting it to me as the other devices (Blue Ant, Jawbone, etc.).

It's being sold for $35+tax. I only need it for use in my car and maybe when I walk at the park.

i was using the jawbone2 until i left it in my rental car...it is very nice and i was happy with it in every way, including that i got it for free...it was better than any other bt hs i ever owned...might as well just fork over the $$ for a jawbone and save yourself from getting boned in the jaw!!!
