Samsung U740 WAP/Cricket/Clicks Help

wondering if anyone could get this one my friend said these are great codes need help flashing and reprogramming samsung a870- straight direct instructions. my new cricket phone bought 1 month ago broke on me today, the cablefor the screen ripped in half. now trying to flash and reprg this verizon phone so i can get on cricket network since i have an account. money tight couldn't get their insurance at the time and don't have the money to repair crickets new phone. greatlyappreciate your help thanks matt

yeah...maybe it should be added to the first page in the instructions or something...i was going crazy trying to keep the settings from reverting...

then i thought, "if i have to modify the value to unlock the settings, then maybe i change it back to relock them" ...durrrrrrr

all that time wasted.

ok- here's the problem...look for something that looks like a 10 digit # in qpst and you've found either your mdn or min...the mdn is called directory # and the min is called IMSI or something in qpst...

i feel your pain and understand that you are new, but this is stuff that you can get if you just search and read, sometimes for hours, like the rest of.us...we put the time in and hope that others will do the same so that we are not here answering these questions and can address more serious issues...note the guy above who asked for the same thing that someone 4 posts above him asked for...

thanks for your understanding...i hope the info helped.

Newb here. I have one of these unlocked phones. I don't understand the above. Can someone point to newbie instructions?
1. How do load and active cricket prl?
2. How to get the dll and SPST, etc...

Thanks,
Daniel

Changing the Brew settings on this bad boy will ZAP the media player, just like with the LG vx9900 enV!

And flashing the firmware won't help, either. It's gone for good!

I used spst to install the .bin file. Used qpst for cricket prl. But phone is still showing searching svc. Needless to say I bought the phone knowing it had a issue with "searching svc". I figured with the help of this site and all the smart merabers, it will be gravy to fix this. But honestly I haven't found much on this or anyother forum on the net about this problem.
Your contribution about the following problems will be greatly appriciated.
As this was already there I couldn't back track to see what I have done wrong.
I noticed when I read the INFO with spst it doesn't show any PRl version NAM1. But I have installed PRL via qpst on NAM1!
Here are INFO in full....
Software version u740.AF25
Hardware version u740.10
Phone nuraber (MIN) My nuraber
Prl version Nam1 None
Prl Version Nam2 39930
ERI version NAM1 4
ERI version NAM2 4
User lock NAM1 0000
Userlock NAM2 0000

Prl version in Nam1 should have been cricket prl-1050 and Nam2 should have been the same.
Is there anyway to put the phone back to 100% factory settings? So it will be like the way it was when it came out of the box. I have already put everything to default setting. But that's not what I am talking about. I think this whole mess is the result of a bad flash job by the previous owner. So I would like to revert it back and work on it.

prl is not sticking to it. So it doesnt know what to pick up. Try to write prl with QPST, CDMA Workshop, SPST, or something until it says NAM1 prl: 01050 or whatever, but I would recommend 01014 or 01015 unless your market is special.

If it wont stick try writing to NAM 2.

hmmm ...thx ... i didn't see anything about thoses settings in this thread .... but .... where do i find those settings to change or set them and what do i set them to? :buddies:

Read all pages tried it all used TC's mmc file and still end up with network connection lost - talk, text and pix work - called cricket had my account refreshed still nothing

Got mine to work using QPST to set to SIP and changed pw under UM and AN tabs to cricket. Used settings above except did proxy used: no

I read and tried things for 3 hours. Can someone help? Which faq or message says how to activate a prl file? I'm able to download the prl to the phone, but I don't know how to make the phone use it.
