Samsung u740 vs. LG VX8600

I think I've narrowed it down to these two phones. Started off with the enV, but too much and too big. I've had a Samsung a670 for moving on 3 years now. While the phone has been very good for me, I feel it's about time to upgrade.

Anywho, I love QWERTY and really want it, but I hear the u740 is much less than perfect. I decided if I wasn't going to have QWERTY, I should find a good regular ol clamshell, and looked at the 8600. Should I get the u740, 8600, or just wait until more phones appear using the 740 type concept?

Worth noting that I don't care about all this music/video on phones these days. I'm mainly just interested in calls and texts.

get the enV: its totally worth it. It's a little big, but you can just get a little case for it. I considered the u740, but the buttons are the size of pieces of rice, and the flip on it is not stable. the enV has amazing battery life with just the normal battery. I sent and received about 500 text messages, and was on the phone for about 2 hours yesterday, along with some mobile web, music playback, and navigator usage. the battery made it through the entire day. that's impressive

If you do not want a QWERTY, the 8600 is an ok option, which is probably not as good as a maxx ve, 8700, or future 8350.

however, i'd recommend the enV over anything else that verizon has. It's a little large, but its really not as big as you'd think. If you want a QWERTY phone, get the enV. If you don't, get the enV.

best phone verizon has

I agree EnV is the best. Though I would recommend the 8600. My wife has it and loves it. It would be the phone I would use if I didn't have the EnV. The u740 is cool but the keys are way to small.
